What KeelHaul was:

An ancient form of torture reserved for the harshest punishments where a sailor was dragged, underwater, across the Keel of a ship and if he didn’t drown, he would probably die of infection from the barnacles.

What KeelHaul is:

A modern form of punishment in the form of entertainment where pub fare and beer lead to hangovers deserved of lesser men. It is good Traditional music with a modern edge.

KeelHaul has just wrapped their most successful summer ever! From the St. George's Blueberry Festival to the Steveston Maritime Festival, and a few stops in between including an awesome House Concert in Sechelt we want to thank all of our new friends. A special thanks to Cary Grigg for helping us out in the fiddle department.

What's next? The band is perfoming a special fundraiser show November 13, 2010 at The Rose & Crown Pub in Tsawwassen, BC. It's bound to be a time, and full of prizes and surprises. Be sure to check it out. As well, there is writing to be done for a new CD, video to be edited and a web site to be recreated. Busy times to be sure, but it's all for the ultimate goal of playing the Commodore Ballroom (Wayne's dream venue), and a couple of more festivals next summer.

So while the crew hunker down below decks for a while, be sure to check out http://youtube.com/keelhaulTV for videos of the band, and funny tidbits as they get ready to take over the world... one pub at a time.

Almost through the summer schedule! Phew! Coast to coast... and now a certified Festival Band too!

KeelHaul now has a YouTube channel! Yup. That's right! You can find clips of the crew at KeelhaulTV on YouTube. Links will be coming soon... like just as soon as we finish up the summer tour. Watch a video or two while eating breakfast, or folding laundry... just be sure to check it out!

Just a quick update from the road. We managed to have a couple of business meetings before we left St. John's and things are looking pretty good for another road trip next summer. Good news to be sure!

As soon as we finish the our summer shows, we'll be getting back at the Video project that we started, what seems to be, ages ago.

The summer 2010 tour dates have now been posted, and we're happy to announce that the crew will be hauling the tour from one coast to the other, and will be looking forward to meeting some familiar faces, with a few new ones thrown in along the way.
